The Nikon AF-S Zoom Nikkor 14-24mm f/2.8G ED AF Lens is a fast, ultra wide-angle AF-S zoom lens optimized for edge-to-edge sharpness on both the Nikon FX (23.9 x 36mm) and DX format image sensors. Enhanced optical formulas, engineered to produce exceptional sharpness, contrast and color, rendering outstanding image integrity. Two ED (Extra-low Dispersion) elements and PGM aspherical lenses control chromatic aberrations, while enhancing sharpness and contrast, even at the widest aperture settings. 

Exclusive Nano Crystal Coat further reduces ghosting and flare for even greater image clarity. Nikon's Silent Wave Motor (SWM) enables ultra high-speed autofocusing with exceptional accuracy and powerful, super-quiet operation. Internal Focus (IF) provides fast and quiet autofocusing without changing the length of the lens, retaining subject-working distance through the focus range. Focus as close as 10.8 inches at the 24mm setting. Rugged construction and professional-grade dust and moisture resistance. M/A Focus Mode switch enables quick response to changing situations between Auto and Manual focus operation.

Sharp, Excellent
The majority of my photography doesn't require this lens; however, the couple of times I needed it, I was impressed with the sharpness and the color rendition. Very satisfactory results ! .

Terrific lens!
This is the perfect wide-angle zoom! I do a lot of close proximity pictures from cars, motorcycles, machineries and architecture. This lens deliver fantastic point of view of the subjet with minimal distorsion. I use it a lot and it always surprise me!

Masterpiece.
This lens is easily one of the best in my arsenal of lenses. A lot of people get all into their zoom lenses, but if you are not into zoom lenses and want easily one of the best lenses nikon has ever made. This is their Mona Lisa. The ƒ2.8 comes in handy for low light scenes. helps long exposures at night. crisp sharp details across the spectrum. Big, bad, sharp, wide
This lens is a real attention-getter, on par with a 400mm 2.8 for attracting interested bystanders. It is a serious chunk of glass and performs as expected. I use this extensively on a D700 for real estate photography, and also for landscapes. Great color. Sharp! Wiiiiiide. I have to remember that the best architectural interiors are not always at 14mm, but when you need it you need it. Yes, it's heavy in the bag. But I use it for hand-held pole photography and have no problem keeping it

the wide angle
This is one of the three main lenses that go on my d 300 and d 700 bodies. This is an exceptional fine lens and I love how it opens the possibilty of filling the frame for me. I sometimes will keep it on the camera for weeks at a time just to increase the experiences allowed withsuch fine glass. i highly recommend this baby and would not leave without it. I love shooting outdoors and recently documented the tearing down of giants stadium and did it all with this lens. i am leaving for my third

Exceptional lens
This is a truely excellent lens. Provides remarkably bright and sharp images with great color. Downside is lack of support for attached filters which can be overcome via DIY and third party supported products. Strongly recommended.

Impressive performance
I use this lens primarily for landscapes and it performs beautifully. It is extremely sharp edge to edge even nearly wide open. I'm always amazed when I see the images taken with this lens--detail is rendered so clearly. Build quality is excellent--very robust. I once tripped while hiking, fell, and the lens (with cap) hit a large boulder. No damage to lens or camera. The only downside to this lens: 1. It's big and heavy; 2. It doesn't take filters easily.

Sharp Over Complete Aperture and Zoom Range
I have used this lens for landscapes coupled with my Nikon D300 camera body for outstanding results. I recently got back from Ouray area of Colorado and could not believe the number of pictures that were blow-up and mountable quality. Absolutely, the best ultra wide zoom lens that I have ever used.

It's worth every penny
How can you not love this lens. I shoot Pro, mostly fashion shows as i'm a fashion photographer. I also do some Real Estate Photography when the opportunity arises and on my leaser time, i shoot nature. Some for stock photography and some for my own personal portfolio. The attached pic is on a beautiful sunday after a night of hard rain. The results really show how beautifully the 14-24mm will allow you to bring the viewer into the scene. It is a must have, in any camera gear. I

Best lens in the bag.
Amazing...two weeks with this lens and I'm finding tons of new things to shoot never possible before...landscapes, wildlife and outdoor portraits...WOW...the most creative lens in my bag.
