Peak Design SL-BK-3 Overview

Carry your equipment in comfort and style with this black Slide Camera Strap from Peak Design. This strap uses strong, removable anchor connectors that attach to the eyelets of your camera or the included mounting plate, holding up to 200 lb of gear and easily supporting most DSLR and mirrorless systems. By pairing this versatile connection with a long adjustable length from 39 to 57", the Slide can be configured to work as a sling, shoulder, or neck strap.

The strap has a width of 1.8" and is made of nylon webbing that is padded internally to help ensure comfortable use. Its two sides feature different properties: one side is smooth for sliding the camera to your eye when set up as a sling, while the other has a silicone grip that prevents slipping when using it on your neck or shoulder. The four included anchor points attach and detach from the strap with a single hand, and can be left on the eyelets so you can easily switch between cameras while shooting.

Camera strap upgrade
The Slide is the best all around camera strap. It securely attaches to my camera with ease and allows quick length adjustments to accommodate various carry positions. If you’re still shooting with your stock strap, this should be your next purchase!

Camera sling, camera strap & anchors.
I bought the camera sling & anchors from Peak direct, and the camera strap from a colleague photographer who is selling off his heavy gear. I love Peak Design gear. It is excellent quality, quick release and change from sling to wrist strap and back again. I made my own wrist straps with two anchors and para cord. I could have sold these multiple times over to camera friends. No thanks I love my Peak Design camera slings, straps and self made wrist strap. Buy, use, change it up and enjoy.

Far better than the strap that came with the camera.
Far better than the strap that came with the camera. It stays at my side out of the way until I need to take a photo. A lot more comfortable then the camera neck straps. The clips are fast & easy to use. I wouldn't recommend if hiking up a hill or bending down, the camera will swing freely. The buckles on mine are metal & do not lock the strap in place. Bewear! Remove the strap before putting it in a camera bag or backpack; the buckles are great at scratching your camera!

For the Tripod Oriented
I use a tripod regularly. In my opinion the strap gets in the way when the camera is on a tripod. The quick release system used by the slide strap is the easiest way to remove the strap. It has the least amount of hangover of any release system I have used to date. It is also the quickest reconnect I have used. I really lucked out with this strap.

First aftermarket strap!
It's comfortable and so easy to use when carrying my medium format camera. I will be looking at another of these or the smaller version for my mirrorless system.

Fabulous Strap!
I'm not a professional but an enthusiast. So I never thought that a strap would make a difference for me. But was I wrong! I have always used the strap that came with the camera but with my recent camera purchase I decided to get a new strap. My research led me to this one and I'm glad it did! The ability to remove the strap easily is a feature I didn't realize I would enjoy as much as I do. And the quality is excellent! It is very comfortable and I am also enjoying the ability to adjust it. I wish I had bought this sooner.

New camera needed new strap
I did quite a bit of searching before I stopped at the Slide strap. It's been on my new DSLR as from the time of unboxing for both items so I have not been using anything else. Besides the comfort of knowing that your camera is safe, and can easily be hooked and unhooked as and when needed, there's also the understated yet stylish look which perhaps other brands do not offer.

Comfortable, easy to adjust, useable with tripod plates, stylish
Very happy with the strap, the anchor links work well and alow you to easily switch between the comfortable slide strap, a hand clutch strap or the thiner slide strap and still allows you to use tripod mounting plates. The camera sits so nicely when the strap is slung around my shoulder I rarely use the capture pro system any more.

Great
This strap was recommended to me by another photographer. Have had it for a couple months and so far it's awesome. Feels incredibly secure. I was using a wrist strap before - this is giving my hands and wrists a much needed break.
