Overview

Dedicated to the Sony Alpha a7R IV, a7S III, and a9 II mirrorless cameras, the VG-C4EM Vertical Grip offers both extended battery and a more comfortable grip when shooting in the vertical orientation. The grip accepts either one or two NP-FZ100 batteries to increase the effective battery life for longer shooting sessions, and the batteries can be charged in the grip while attached to the camera via the body's USB port. The grip's design maintains the same layout as the camera body itself, and includes a secondary shutter button and Multi Selector for intuitive use. Also, the grip is built from magnesium alloy and is dust and moisture resistant to match the weather sealing of the camera itself.

Good for use with bigger lenses
I bought an immaculate secondhand grip. First impressions are it is taller compared to the Nikon ones I was used to. This is because the batteries are mounted on their edge rather than than on their back. Otherwise it gives a useful camera shooting time before having to change batteries. Nice to have the vertical controls too.

Excellent product, easy to use especially when using in portrait mode.The buttons have been designed well for us photographers.

Two in one
Only used this once on new camera, but have one on an A7ii and used many times. I personally love it and wish i had one earlier. Love the fact it shows what battery power for each one on screen.

Great battery grip
I bought this to add to my A7IV. Used with my FE 200-600 lens it definitely helps to balance the setup better as well as obviously doubling up on the time between replacing batteries.

Quality product
I haven't used the grip extensively to date, but plan to in the coming weeks. Feels comfortable in the hand and makes the camera better balanced.

A Must Have For The Serious Photographer!
The new a7rIV is an amazing camera but this takes it to an entirely new level.

No longer twisting my hands
Just made the purchase 2 weeks ago and true appreciate the ability to shoot vertically and have the shutter and custom buttons right on the grip. No longer have to twist my hands to accommodate the camera when shooting vertically
