Canon EOS R6 Mark II Mirrorless Camera

Currently using this as a B Cam, second to my R5. Coming from another Canon mirrorless system made the R6 very intuitive. I really enjoy the unlimited recording time. The button layout is arguably better than the R5 on that front. Would highly recommend it!!

Upgraded from the R6, no regrets. Small but noticeable upgrades.

The headline is exactly what I've been telling people about this camera. I came from a 6D2, and this thing is from another planet. After my first outting with, I walked away with impression that you just about have to deliberately thwart the AF to miss focus. It started hunting for subjects which were merely blurs in the shape of something it knows, and then gets focus NOW. It's the definition of game changing from a DSLR. The fact it's been introduced at the same price as the original is just bonkers in my mind. I feel like I ripped Canon off getting this thing. It's very difficult to imagine a body that can do more or better.

I upgraded to the Canon EOS R6 Mark II along with the Canon RF 24-70mm L IS USM lens and this combo is absolutely amazing. I previously had a Canon EOS Rebel T8i with the Canon 50mm 1.8f lens and the first big difference I noticed was the quality of the product. The camera has so many amazing features that I have to explore. So far I think the quality and performance of this camera are absolutely unbeatable for the price.

This is my first Canon camera so the ergonomics were challenging at first. But thanks to David Busch's R5/R6 Guide book, I was able to get going rather quickly. The overall performance is excellent as other reviewers have already pointed out. I have only had three issues albeit minor ones.

First, the silent shutter produces severe banding when shot under flickering lights. This was expected but I had hoped it wouldn't be so bad. Changing to the Electronic 1st-curtain mode and turning flicker on cured that. Not totally silent, but much better than the Nikons I was using. The electronic silent shutter works find in normal lighting.

The second issue is the battery. I was use to getting 1000's of shots per battery but now I can get no more than 250. Again, this was expected since this is what was advertised. However, buying additional batteries cost money and adds weight to the backpack.

Lastly, you MUST have the fastest memory chips to get the bursts to operate without quickly running into buffering issues. These when on sell are about $200 each. With my old chips that had write speeds of 120M/S, I would hit buffering in about 1 second. I got two 300M/S chips and it now goes without buffering. The cost was about $400 on sell.

I definitely recommend this camera to anyone looking to make the switch to Canon. Since I have zero experience with other Canon models, I will leave that decision to current Canon users to decide

My first mirrorless camera was a7iii. At that time, Canon was way behind in terms of mirrorless technology. However, the r6 mark ii is a truly amazing camera and I think this is better than a7iv. The skin tone looks nice. DR is so good. The high-iso picture still looks good. The video color is so nice even with a standard profile.

RF lens options still need to be improved. However, RF f1.8 series 24,35, 50, and f2 85, I love these lenses. I didn't know 'IS' would make this much different when I was with the sony system, especially for video.

I would recommend this camera a thousand times.

I have every Eos r cameras and this is one of the best ones! Focus is amazing and having a high frame rate on a camera is just as amazing!

Used it out of the box for a dance recital and got spectacular video and stills. I am still learning this camera and lens. Bought the 24 - 240 mm f 4 to 6.3 lens. Videos and pictures are in sharp focus and without any light room touch ups, outstanding pictures. Highly recommend the camera as well as the lens

I am impressed to say the least! This camera is fast and sharp. I am a hardcore mirrorless fan now. I used this camera to shoot the Nutcracker ballet and the photos did not disappoint. I was amazed at how well it held up in dim lighting following moving subjects... it did excellent. I cannot wait to get out and shoot more! I would recommend this camera for any type of photography including wildlife/sports. I paired it with the lovely Canon r 24-70mm 2.8 which is a chef's kiss.

went from 5dm3 to eosr6m2 and I am super pleased with investment, camera focuses on video, works fantastic using high iso, 12fps mechanical, everybodys eyes are always focused, this camera is charm especially with my sigma art lenses via the adapter..beautiful piece of electronics.
