- Best lens to start EOS R systemI sold my 6D and 5 lenses to purchase the EOS R and this lens. I found the EF 24-70 2.8 too unbalanced with the adapter. I had deep mixed feelings about selling that lens + the 16-35 F4 and my 100mm L Macro lens. However, the images I get from this lens make up for that + the great IS feature that allows hand held longer shutter speeds.
- Best kit lens availableA bit front heavy at first but once get use to. Lens performs all day long with good range, solid sharpness, weather resistances, AF speed is best in class, Stabilization is incredible f/4.0 1/10 @ 105 no problem!
- Love this lense!Bought this lense to compliment my R series camera. I have the regular lense already but wanted to have the control ring on the lense and I thought removing the adapter would make the combination easier to use. Absolutely love this lense! Crisp and clean shots with the ability to control the exposure on the lense in real time! Awesome!
- Save money and get a faster RF lens. It’s basic but it’s not worth itNot really worth it. It’s a L glass but it’s for beginners. If you want it for traveling, forget it.
- Loving my every day walk around lensAmazing lens. I was certainly not expecting so much glass in this lens. The pictures of this lens don't do it justice. Amazing photos, tack sharp through all ranges. Highly recommend this lens for the price.
