- Simply IncredableI bought this lens, pulled it out of the box, and shot two weddings over the weekend. It is an amazing lens. Shooting at f2. just makes what you want to pop out in the photo, show more. If you use an extender on it like the 1.4 it is only f2.8 and the image quality is almost as good as the 70-200 f2.8 IS. It is super light and feels good on front of the camera (1D MK4). The only down side is you have to crank up the shutter, no IS.
- Straight Up MagicThe title says it all on this. The sharpness is just right, the color rendition is amazing, and the contrast is incredible. Autofocus is also very fast, which is great because the combination of that and the bright aperture make it a great choice for indoor sports. I personally use it for both sports and portraits, and it does well at both. Stick it on an APS-C body, and it does well for outdoor sports as well. It looks like a slightly sharper 70-200 2.8 at 200mm. The limiter switch for long focus distances also helps with this, and the extra stop of light means higher shutter speeds to freeze action.
- Simply a stunning lens!I recently got this lens and have been using it on 50Ds and 5D Mark II.... It's great on either full frame or crop sensor.
- Yes! Best Lens Ever - For Sure :-)IF I could only bring one lens with me on a daily basis, this would be that one lens! I cannot say enough about this lens, you will not be disappointed with your purchase and the beautiful photographs and portraits you will capture. Watch on You Tube Canon 135 Lord of the Red Rings
