Sigma 14-24mm f/2.8 DG HSM Art Lens for Canon EF
As part of the Art line within Sigma's Global Vision series, this lens' is designed to achieve truly notable optical performance and is ideally suited for creative and artistic applications.
Wide-angle zoom is designed for full-frame Canon EF-mount cameras, however is also suitable for APS-C models where it provides a 22.4-38.4mm equivalent focal length range.
Constant f/2.8 maximum aperture is well-suited for working in available light conditions and also provides greater control over depth of field.
Three Special Low Dispersion (SLD) elements and three F Low Dispersion (FLD) elements markedly reduce chromatic aberrations and color fringing throughout the zoom range for improved clarity and color accuracy.
Three aspherical elements control spherical aberrations and distortion for increased sharpness and accurate rendering.
A Super Multi-Layer Coating has been applied to lens elements in order to minimize lens flare and ghosting and contribute to producing contrast-rich and color-neutral imagery, even in backlit conditions.
Integrated HSM (Hyper Sonic Motor) realizes quick and quiet autofocus, which is further complemented by an optimized AF algorithm to produce smoother focusing performance. The HSM also permits full-time manual focus control simply by rotating the focus ring at any time.
Rounded nine-blade diaphragm contributes to a smooth and pleasing bokeh quality.
Front lens element has been treated with a water- and oil-repellent coating to benefit working in harsh environmental conditions.
Constructed using a Thermally Stable Composite (TSC) material for greater precision and use in wide temperature variations. Additionally, a brass bayonet affords improved mounting accuracy and rigidity.
This lens is compatible with the optional Sigma USB Dock for fine-tuning different lens characteristics and updating its firmware.

ITS AN ART!
I recently tested this lens side by side to a competitor lens and I can confirm what Sigma stated. At f2.8, it was sharper than its competition at all focal lengths. The lens itself has a great build quality feel. The price is again spot on for this type of lens, and this type of quality. The lens was tested on a D850 and the results spoke for themselves.

AWESOME!
This was a replacement for a 12-24mm sigma lens that I loved very much but after more than 7-years of heavy use I simply wore it out. So, I replaced it with the 14-24 and so happy I did the lens is awesome! The build is solid just like the 35mm Art I own. The color rendition and edge to edge sharpness are excellent. Just as described the distortion at 14mm is indeed virtually zero.
The lens is being used with a Canon 6D II and a Sony A6500 with MC11 mount. The other most important part of buying Sigma lenses for me has always been the service and support which are second to none.

I LOVE THIS LENS!
I love this lens! I purchased this for use on my Nikon D850 and believe it is a great pairing. I use it for indoor architecture shots and landscape photography. It is tack sharp across the range, with fast and accurate focusing and beautiful color. I think this lens allow me to take advantage of the very high resolution of the camera sensor and the camera sensor allows me to take advantage of the incredible abilities of this lens. The build quality is superb, robust and beautiful. This is my second art lens after purchasing the 24-70 f/2.8 A a few weeks ago. Sigma should be proud of the very high quality of their products.
