Beyond that, it is quick to focus, virtually silent and creates sharp, crisp images. I could not be happier with my purchase. If you are personally debating whether to get this lens or the Canon, I don't think you would be disappointed with this. Oh, here's another thing, Sigma offers a four year warranty for their lenses AND if you call them, you get to talk to someone quickly. They are a family based business and I find their level of customer service far superior to that of Canon's.
