Overview

Dual Plate lets you remove your Camera from Capture (sold separately) and stick it directly into most Manfrotto® RC2 tripod heads. Dual Plate earns its name because it also works in most Arca-type tripod heads. Fits in Capture in 2 directions and contains 2 loops for Peak Design Anchors. Durable machined/anodized construction 2-way Capture compatibility. New connection screw slot allows more positioning options, preventing interference with lenses, screens, and battery compartments.

Note: The dual plate blocks the battery door on Fujifilm X-T series.

Been taking the capture system for granted...
I've had this on my G9 for the past couple of years. This morning I randomly thought wait how am I able to drop this directly my manfroto tripod? Totally forgot that PD made an adapter specifically for Manfrotto. The whole capture system is a game changer for me as I used to be restricted to a much smaller camera that could be put in a hip pouch when backpacking. I use OP tech for neck/wrist straps and their larger connectors will fit on this plate...

Design Masterpiece
I was already interested in getting a Peak Design capture clip, but I was a little sad because I had just purchased a Manfrotto tripod with a pistol-grip quick adjust head. It was a pricey purchase, but I love it, and I couldn't imagine using an Arca Swiss style tripod head after putting all of that money down for the Manfrotto. Enter the Dual Plate: fully compatible with the same capture clip system, but works perfectly in a Manfrotto quick-release mount. This is beautifully designed, from the corner holes to mount PD strap anchors (which I use for both Clutch and Slide straps), to the seamless integration for both tripod and capture clip systems, this is a work of art.

Dual Plate is awesome!
I have this on my camera pretty much all the time, and switching between strap, Capture V3, and my Manfrotto tripod is a breeze~ Hate all the time wasted when switching plate, this thing is simply wonderful~

I have the manfrotto before advanced tripod and this plate mates up with it perfectly! I am happy I can mount the strap clips to the plate as well.

Quick release, until it isn't
The design of this product is very sleek and clever - allowing you easily to shift from the capture clip to a tripod. I am an adventure filmmaker who does a lot of hiking trips, biking touring, and out in nature. The only reason this is 4 stars is the fact that the nut below the plate does not have the self-screw ring i.e. you must use a hex or coin to tighten or unscrew. Anything that is not self-contained and relies on a piece of gear makes me concerned as someone that must depend on being able to get everything off/on easily. - My recommendation is that the next version would have a self-adjusting ring that may add a little height but increases resiliency.

Perfect Fit!
Finally a plate that works with Manfrotto MXHPro-2w fluid head. All previous versions of PD plates didn't fit the fluid head.

Solid fit and finish. Locks in all three of my RC2 mounts. What more could you want?

Overall the perfect plate for me
For me its the perfect plate! I got a light Arca-Swiss tripod for travelling and a Manfrotto 055X Pro3 back in my studio. The only thing which could be improved, it has to be very tight mounted in the Manfrotto tripod and its only 2-Way in the Capture so its not possible to store it at the belt without the Pad because the direction isnt downside.
