- A solid purchaseThis is my first glass purchase, moving away from the kit lenses. And I am so happy with my decision too. It is super quiet in AF, which is pretty quick to do. A bit sensitive, so you may need to go MF if there is a lot of clutter in front of your subject. The telephoto is quite impressive, while the macro is pretty good too. I'm so happy with this lens that I will have plenty of time before wanting to get my next big lens.

- Fantastic LensI bought this lens for a trip to Alaska. I got multiple fantastic shots of bear, moose and caribou. The pics are clear and crisp. Love my new lens!
- Not worth the moneyWhile I thought this would end up being my favorite travel lens, it honestly isn't that great. At 400mm all my shots had a slight fuzzy border around the subject. While the price was affordable, I felt like I would be better returning it and paying the restock fee of 15% . I thought of it as paying a rental fee for trying it, but it was not worth my time or the full price.
- Decent lens for the priceThe lens was fairly good at most zoom ranges but a bit soft at the top of the range (400mm). Colors seemed a bit off too.
