- Great Zoom range -mediocre performance18mm-400mm promises a versatile, single travel lens. Unfortunately, it is very very heavy and really prone to vibration blur -despite having a stabilization feature. There is no mid-barrel tripod socket so even when mounting the camera to a tripod, the heavy weight of the lens really tests the durability of the lens mount and results in lots of lens shake (especially evident when taking videos).
- It’s a great lensI am no photographer. I bought this so I wouldn’t have to interchange my lenses on my Canon 80D. My untrained eye thinks the photos from this lens are pretty decent. Only drawback, and it’s a doozy, is the heaviness and bulkiness of the lens. Makes one’s neck sore.
