  1. Great ultra-wide zoom for Nikon D750
    Quality

I needed an ultra-wide zoom lens for landscape and city-scape photography. I did consider some of the Nikon options (zoom and prime lenses), but after much research, I concluded this Tamron was the best option and at a price that made the decision a no-brainer. If you are researching this lens, I recommend reviews on photographylife.com, cameralabs.com, and dxomark.com. I can confirm everything those reviews say about this lens is true. A couple of things to keep in mind. Tamron uses aspherical elements on their high-end lenses, and the physics of those elements can result in onion-shaped bokeh of some objects, which can be an issue for some individuals. The other thing is Tamron's quality control, which seems to be not as good as Nikon or Canon. Common QC issues on Tamron lenses are decentering and front/back auto-focus. I recommend thorough testing for those issues, and exchange or return the lens if it proves problematic, which obviously implies buying the lens from a reputable seller, such as Best Buy. The downside of lenses of this type is the ability to accommodate filters (Nikon, Canon, Sigma, Samyang, and others have ultra-wide-angle lenses with the same deficiency). There are attachments that allow using drop-in filters, some of which are very expensive. I recommend the Haida filter 150 system as it is less expensive than the big brands (B+W, Lee, etc.) and is of equal quality. Haida also has screw-in filters for threaded lenses, which I also recommend them (I use them on my Tamron 24-70mm f/2.8) VC. This is really an excellent lens and I highly recommend it.
  2. Great lens paired with D750!
    Quality

This lens is amazing! The photos are super sharp. If you are looking for a lens to capture wide angles this is a great lens.
  3. Good not Great
    Quality

Solid lens. I've been looking at Tamron lenses for some time. I typically use Nikkor lenses but wanted to save a few bucks and went with the Tamron. It is a solid lens and offers clear pictures AFTER I calibrated by camera body. The lens I received has a front focus issue and was not clear straight out of the box. It only took a few minutes to calibrate but I've never calibrated any of the 8 or so Nikkor lenses I have.
  4. Great lens for a beginner
    Quality

I bought nikon D 850 and than came back for this lens and I absolutely love it.
  5. Better than Nikon 14-24mm
    Quality

I have found this lense better than nikon 12-24mm lense and it half of its price. Sharpness is right from 15mm. Performs well in low loght.
