VEO 2 235AB is easily portable and super lightweight, 23mm, 5 section Aluminium travel tripod, kit with a multi action ball head that includes a maximum work load of 6 kg / 13.2 lbs. It weighs only 1.4 kg / 3.1lbs and can be extended up to 145 cms / 57.1 inches.

Versatile and Durable
The Vanguard VEO 2 235AB tripod is very versatile! It’s extremely lightweight for the durability it provides. I was using the Manfrotto Action tripod with a Canon T2i, then upgraded to a 5d mkIV, which the Manfrotto could hold but not that well. The Vanguard can handle it without any problems. I just received the Vanguard VEO 2 235AB Black Aluminum Tripod in the mail. First impressions were awesome! I took it out of the box and felt the weight of the tripod. I began looking at the feature components on the tripod itself. It has adjustable knobs that alters the friction, pivotal tension, and direction of the fluid head, all of which worked so smoothly. I'm a filmmaker so being able to get panning shots was a feature that I really wanted to test out. And to my expectations, the tripod produced exactly what I was looking for. You are still however, able to lock down and keep the camera from moving side to side. The Vanguard has a quick release plate which is awesome for fast moving productions, or if you're on a time crunch. Also a nice feature on the back of the plate is a leveler, to tell whether you are on level ground and how to adjust your tripod to get your image to appear level. Another awesome thing about this tripod, is that it came with a bag, which for me is super helpful when traveling and much more convenient when you have to carry more than one thing, just throw it on your back and go. Overall if you are looking for a good tripod that will last you and is made well, out of awesome material, with great functions, the Vanguard VEO 2 235AB Black Aluminum Tripod is one that I feel is a must have for your film/photography kit, and I know this one its by far the best tripod I've owned. Built to last with awesome features
I'm really impressed with this tripod. I've been through a number of tripods over the past few years and haven't been able to find one that checks all of the boxes. It does have some weight to it, so it'll be on the heavier side of travel tripods. It folds down really nicely and makes use of space really well. The legs are great, as they extend and contract smoothly. I have no real positive or negative feedback about the legs--they just work! I opted for this model because it was slightly taller than the VEO2 204AB. The ballhead is a really important part of the tripod, and it comes with a really good one! It gets suuuuper tight and and hold plenty of weight. I put a 5D with a 24-105mm on it with no problem for the entire day (I was doing a timelapse). I love that it has the Arca-Swiss plate system so that it works with the rest of the tripods I work with. I saved the best for last! I have a few favorite features about this tripod. My #1 favorite feature is the center column. It inverts so you can shoot straight down or at an angle. I don't recommend putting the column in any extreme 45 or 90 degree angles without weighing down the legs. Actually, I wouldn't recommend that at all! It's a little bit unsteady when it's extended all the way up. I recommend only raising it to about 80% of its maximum height. My next favorite feature is the loop for a mini carabiner. When I'm outside, I like to hang my camera bag from a tripod for extra stability. Overall, this is a solid tripod. It feels like it's built to last and it has plenty of great features. Nice tripod!
This tripod is easy to use and I also purchased an additional pan head that goes up and down so I can use camera or spotting scope with ease.
