- Upgrade from Chrome Industries for Bike CommutingI recently got into the Everyday Backpack from a Chrom Industries Barrage Cargo and would definitely consider the backpack from Peak Designs an upgrade. It's easy to get the bag on and off and fits more comfortably thanks to the pivoting strap attachment points. The customizable interior and access to my stuff in the pack in the thing of dreams - no more digging through a top-loading roll-top. Equally important as a bike commuter is the weather resistance of this bag. It's been a rainy start to winter and the bag can take everything mother nature has thrown at it thus far. Lastly, the 20L size is perfect to carry a few toiletries, small everyday carry items, and my lunch on the inside while my u-lock and travel mug slide easily into the exterior side pockets. The "pocket" atop the laptop sleeve for a couple edc essentials is clutch as well. Love this bag!
- New 16in MacBook ProIt says on the info PDF that it fits a 16in MacBook Pro. And I can get it in the bag but it’s not a good fit. If you have the laptop in bag then you cannot access any of the other back pockets. Not as convenient as I was hoping. Having a hard time finding a good looking back that can really hold a 16 in laptop.
- Made the best even better!I've owned two colors of the original Everyday Backpack (both in 20L) for a few years. Bought the first one shortly after release. I've traveled with them hauling everything from mirrorless kits, to full blown SLRs to just using them as a travel/commuter bag. While I loved almost everything about the backpacks, there were a few minor complaints. On my latest trip, the v1 backpack spent a good amount of time being pulled on top of my luggage and the straps would flop around all over the place. I was completely overjoyed to see that this is addressed in V2 with magnetic strap holders. Also, the storage compartments on the side are now far more usable. Kudos to Peak Design for making the original even better. FWIW the bags are durable too (we'll see how v2 holds up). Overall the improvements are great and the new bag is even better than the original!

- v2 Everyday Backpack - Almost PerfectFirst off - I received my bag and it had a bad zipper on one of the side entrance pockets. Peak overnighted a new bag right away without question. Fantastic customer service. I am moving from a 35L Patagonia backpack but the Peak bag has way more usable space. The fact that I can get in from either side makes every square inch of this bag useable. The dividers are amazing and further the functionality. There are pockets and storage for everything you'll need for everyday carry and short trips. The only feature request I have is for a pouch that could velcro into the top section under the front latch. I tend to stash a ton of stuff that I need to get to quickly and small things can fall into the main part of the bag because of the small gaps on either side of the dividers. Small thing and far from a deal breaker. Best backpack ever.
